An Air Force B-1B Lancer provided armed overwatch for friendly forces. When an enemy fighting position was observed near friendly forces, a request for air support was made. Once coordinates for the enemy position were received, the aircraft released a precision-guided munition against the target and eliminated the potential threat to friendly forces. No further enemy action was noted.
